ThisĀ lemon garlic shrimp pasta dish is a staple in my household. It’s quick and easy to make but full of flavor. If you have some lemons, garlic, and parsley – you have most of what you need to make a really delicious pasta dish! I normally make this with linguini – but it works fine with tagliatelle, fettuccini and even pappardelle pasta. This recipe serves 6-8 people. If you’re going to do 8, you will need some kind of side dish šŸ™‚


3-5 cloves of garlic
1.5 – 2 lb shrimp peeled and deveined ( no smaller than 20 count )
Black Pepper ( freshly ground to taste )
1 1/2 – 2 Ā Lemons
1 bunch parsley
1/2 stick of butter
4-5 tablespoons of olive oil
Red pepper flakes to taste
Parmesan cheese to taste

Tools of the Trade:

1 large bowl
1 large pot
1 large skillet
1 juicer
1 cutting board
1 strainer
2 medium bowls
3 small bowls for garnishes


Start boiling your water for the pasta ( add a bit of salt and olive oil to the water )

Juice your lemons
Slice your garlic
Chop your parsley
Once your water is boiling – go ahead and add theĀ pasta and cook according to the box recipe
Heat your skillet
Add your butter – wait until it begins to sizzle
Drop to mediumĀ heat
Adding garlic and let it cook for a minute or two
Add your shrimp ( flip at least once )
Add lemon juice
Add black pepper
Add olive oil
Add salt
Drain your pasta and add to the skillet
Mix it well coating the pasta
Add more black pepper
Mix again
You will want to reduce your heat to low now
Add half of your chopped parsley
Mix again

Time to Garnish!
Sprinkle with parsley
Sprinkle 2 pinches of red Ā pepper flakes ( to taste )
Sprinkle with parmesan cheese
