I’ve always been a fan of french toast, however cinnamon french toast is especially a favorite of mine. I should point out that this french toast is a light cinnamon french toast. It’s not dusted with cinnamon after the fact, the cinnamon is mixed into the egg base. This is totally a personal preference – I don’t like the powdery texture of cinnamon but I love the taste within the toast.
Tools
- 1 large pan
- 1 large bowl
- 1 whisk
Instructions
- Crack your three eggs into your bowl
- Add the teaspoon of cinnamon
- Add the teaspoon of sugar
- Add the cream
- Whisk thoroughly
- Take a slice of bread and lay it in the egg mix
- Flip it once and set aside on a plate
- Repeat for each slice
- Heat your pan and add a small bit of butter
- Fry one side of the toast until slightly browned
- Flip and cook until slightly browned
- Repeat for each side
- Garnish with diced strawberries and top with syrup
